This is a free service for faculty of the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR). It is provided as an “as-is” offering and the addition of other functionality or “plug-ins” will be limited unless it will benefit all users. While we understand this service may not meet the needs of all faculty in CAFNR we hope it will assist many faculty with their website needs. If you require greater design freedom please look into faculty.missouri.edu a free, html-only option for faculty provided by the College of Arts and Sciences. Another option is to work with a for-fee, campus-approved preferred web vendor for advanced website needs.
The University of Missouri System maintains an Acceptable Use Policy that addresses federal and state laws, university regulations, intellectual-property rights, software-licensing requirements and prohibitions against plagiarism and obscenity. The policy also includes sanctions for violations. This policy applies to all MU websites including CAFNR faculty websites.
Additionally, the University of Missouri has Brand Guidelines governing the use of University of Missouri logos, colors, fonts, etc. Adherence to these guidelines is expected for content hosted on any CAFNR faculty website.
All MU websites must be accessible to people with disabilities and compliant with the standards set forth by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The University of Missouri has defined a Digital Accessibility Policy. This policy applies to all MU websites including CAFNR faculty websites.
Any cafnrfaculty.missouri.edu site that is reported to be in violation of any of these policies may be subject to disciplinary action including:
- Issuance of a warning.
- Immediate, temporary or permanent removal of any postings or materials found to be in violation.
- Immediate, temporary or permanent withdrawal of your right to use this site.
- Reporting of inappropriate usage to the CAFNR Dean.
- Disclosure of any information, where applicable, to law enforcement authorities as required.
We exclude any liability for actions taken in response to breaches of this acceptable use policy. The disciplinary actions described in this policy are not limited to the list above, and CAFNR may take other actions deemed appropriate.
If a site owner wishes to authorize additional users to make changes or additions to their site, they should request permission from the CAFNR IT team. Personal login credentials should never be shared. Site owners are ultimately responsible for all content found on their site, and it is the site owner’s responsibility to educate their authorized users about the acceptable use policy. Ignorance of this policy and its contents by any site owner or authorized user will not be considered a defense and might result in disciplinary action.
CAFNR IT will do our best to keep your site up and running smoothly, but in the unlikely event of a system failure or other unforeseeable system error, it could be up to seven days to get all data restored and your site back up and running. This is not a service supported by the CAFNR communications office, please do not request assistance from them. If you have additional questions, please reach out to your IT pro or email the CAFNR IT team.
