Forage Crops is an elective in Plant Sciences. Students from all facets of CAFNR take this course. Average enrollment is 30 students. Forage Crops is designed to introduce students to the principles of forage crop physiology, production and management. Lectures utilize a combination of powerpoint presentations, white board, in-class critical thinking exercises and in-class discussions. Students conduct a semester-long in-class group exercise to demonstrate development and management of a forage-livestock system in Missouri.
