Ecology of Grazing Lands is a graduate-level course, taught in collaboration among the University of Missouri, University of Tennessee, Virginia Tech University and Texas Tech University. Ecology of Grazing Lands Systems includes a field trip that takes participants into diverse grazing lands across several states. Students learn about the components and functions of grazing lands and how these vary in different ecoregions of the United States. My first opportunity to teach this course was Summer of 2018 (July 20 to August 4). Grazing lands visited in included the states of California, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Nevada, Oregon and Washington.
