Dr. Liu joined the Hospitality Management program at University of Missouri in 2016. She received her masters’ degree from University of Houston and Ph.D. degree in hospitality management and dietetics from Kansas State University. Dr. Liu serves as the Editor for Foodservice Systems Management and Education Council (FSMEC). She is the member of International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education (ICHRIE), International Association of Food Protection (IAFP) and National Restaurant Association (NRA). Before joining Mizzou, Dr. Liu worked at Louisiana Tech University as assistant professor with Robbie Auger Watson Endowed Professorship in Nutrition and Dietetics. She has experiences teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in food science, dietetics and hospitality management. Currently, Dr. Liu teaches Fundamentals of the Food and Beverage Industry and Food Service Operations Management.
